jasmine Harris, ED.S
Jasmine Harris is an educational specialist, published poet and essayist featured in the Hidden Sussex Anthology, Prometheus Dreaming, Syndrome Magazine, and several others. She most recently served as the 2023 Arts and Science Center of Southeast Arkansas Arts in Education Artist in Residence.
Harris focuses her writing on intersectional identity, aspects of community, and popular culture. As a teaching artist, she has extensive practice in facilitating creative writing through critical analysis of emoting one’s epistemologies. Author of, I May Have Been In My Feelings and When I was Young, both collections of poetry focus on the marginalized and many times dismissed experiences and development of minoritized populations seeking voice and autonomy.
